“My operation and the neuro ward stay for the first 2 weeks were fine. The trouble began when I was transferred to the rehab ward. The treatment was torture, the food was awful and I didn’t get enough sleep. The lack of sleep was partly due to the ill treatment I received at 5 am every morning. The main lights were thrown on, I received a very rough stab in the stomach every morning, and I was scared to complain as I had witnessed what happens to those hapless individuals. This time suited their schedule and there no consideration for patient needs – neuro patients need plenty of sleep. After 7 weeks I had had enough, I stormed out and put my health at risk!”
