People with measles typically develop symptoms around 10 days after being exposed to the virus. A total of 17 people have now been diagnosed with measles in Perth in a growing outbreak that reached WA from New Zealand last month. The health department said today that four more people were confirmed to have the highly contagious disease over the weekend. The majority of people who have caught measles since an infected Kiwi tourist visited Perth about three weeks ago live in the Rockingham area.
