Tanzania may be keeping its emerging Ebola crisis secret even as the region struggles to contain an outbreak already declared a global health emergency , international health authorities fear. Tanzania was refusing to provide detailed information on suspected Ebola cases, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said, in a rare public rebuke. Transparency and speed are key to combating the deadly hemorrhagic fever because the disease can spread rapidly.
