Standards Copywrite Notice

The Virtual Care Provider (VCP) Standards were developed by Patients Australia in collaboration with the Australian Telehealth Standards Consortium, reflecting the collective expertise and commitment of consortium members, clinicians and patient representatives. Patients Australia Limited holds copyright over the standards and associated materials on behalf of the consortium.

Using these standards: we actively encourage healthcare providers, clinicians, researchers, policymakers and consumers to access, read, share and apply these standards within their own organisations for non-commercial purposes. We ask only that Patients Australia and the Australian Telehealth Standards Consortium are appropriately acknowledged as the source.

Building on these standards: we welcome interest from organisations seeking to develop resources, tools or frameworks that support implementation of the VCP Standards. To protect the integrity, consistency and intent of the standards, any reproduction, adaptation, commercial use or development of derivative works including self-assessment frameworks, accreditation tools, certification models, implementation guides, educational programs or training materials requires prior written permission from Patients Australia Limited.

Patients Australia is committed to working collaboratively with interested organisations through a transparent, fair and patient-centred process.

Accreditation

Patients Australia Limited retains stewardship of any accreditation or certification framework developed in connection with the VCP Standards. We are currently engaging with stakeholders across the sector to explore the most appropriate, independent and inclusive governance model for future accreditation pathways and look forward to sharing further information as this work progresses.
